It's Five For Friday!! I swear this day never felt so good... I needed a weekend! ;)
Next week is the famous Read Across America week and our class is ready to get down and READ! I decided to add a little pizazz to my room and dress it up with Dr. Seuss! I just L.O.V.E. how my new Seuss Banner turned out.
It was so easy! All you need is colored prints of the book covers (google, copy, paste, enlarge on Powerpoint and print), a hole punch, and ribbon! I wanted mine to be durable, so I laminated each cover.
Ribbon from Michaels!!
Hole punch in the corners and tie.
You could also use colored construction paper and alternate the covers and colored paper.
The faces on my firsties when they saw this banner were hilarious! Their jaws dropped to their feet and they immediately started calling out which was their faves, which ones they had at home, etc. So fun!!
My Loves on their Daddy Daughter Dance night. Mommy is very blessed! :)
Spring break is in two weeks, TWO! But right before that is Parent Teacher Conferences...dum dum DUM! I am looking for something awesome for the kids to create as artwork plus showing off their reading and math skills to their parents. This weekend I will be working on this baby! Enter QR codes and frustration, lol!
If you've seen any of my TPT products, you'd know that I'm more of a cutesy, sweet graphics lover. But I've decided to make the trip to the OTHER side, the MODERN side on this one! I loved using these Rockin' Rainbow papers from Ashley Hughes and these awesome fonts from Cara Carroll! I think the best thing about this product is the anchor charts and the I Can statements.
I've also included Write the Room activities and Exit Tickets for each skill: Root Words, Suffixes, Prefixes, Categories, Shades of Meaning, Context Clues, and Making a Connection. I'll be using this guy next week. This will come in handy with report cards!
Find Vocab Artist on sale this weekend! Check it out HERE at my TPT Store.
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
